Thank you for your interest in our Clinical Trial for Post-Covid-19 fatigue. (National Clinical Trial #04592354)

Overview of the Clinical Trial

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effects of oxaloacetate (AEO) on improving fatigue in post-COVID-19 survivors.  Approximately 40 subjects (20 active and 20 placebo) will be enrolled in the 6 week study.  If selected for this trial, you will be in one of the groups and will not know which group you are in while you are in the study. Study-related medication is provided at no cost in this clinical trial.

The trial is simple:

After potential participants are identified, they will first create a “baseline” measurement of their fatigue by taking an on-line set of fatigue surveys.  The participants will then be given either the “active”, oxaloacetate, or the “placebo”, rice flour to be taken 1 capsule with breakfast or lunch, and one capsule with dinner (2 capsules per day).  No one in the group will know if they have the “active” or “placebo”.  After 2 weeks, the participants will measure their fatigue again with the on-line fatigue surveys.  After a total of six weeks, the participants will take a final measurement of their fatigue.  The results of the oxaloacetate group will be compared against the results of the placebo rice flour group to see if there is efficacy, and any safety concerns will be recorded.

If this trial shows that oxaloacetate can safely help reduce fatigue after Covid-19, it may help many people with a safe, inexpensive solution to a very large problem.  We welcome your help in making this determination.
